On the plus side I don't believe they need to actually prepare food for the individual exhibit animals, so they can usually handle quite a few tanks (especially if they're close together it's worth building an insect/amphibian house) before they start complaining. I have protesters because my cockroaches are starving but the keepers aren't feeding them.Are they in the work zone for a keeper? Generally it's best to put all of your small exhibits in one workzone and assign a dedicated keeper otherwise they'll tend to spend far too much time dealing with the habitat animals to deal with the small exhibits.
